Install Zahzie on your phone

iOS

Safari (iPhone & iPad)

Safari is the only browser that can install apps on iOS. Apple blocks the install option in every other iOS browser.

  1. 1 Make sure you're on the Zahzie home page (/) before installing — iOS uses the page you're currently on as the home-screen launch URL, not the app's configured start page.
  2. 2 Tap the Share icon () in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
  3. 3 Scroll the share sheet down past the row of app icons. "Add to Home Screen" lives in the lower list, not the top row.
  4. 4 Tap Add to Home Screen, confirm the name "Zahzie", then tap Add in the top-right.
iOS · other browsers

Chrome, Firefox, Edge on iOS

These browsers can't install Zahzie on iPhone or iPad — Apple restricts the install feature to Safari. To install, switch over:

  1. 1 Tap the share menu in your current browser and copy this page's link.
  2. 2 Open Safari, paste the link, and load the page.
  3. 3 Follow the iOS Safari steps above.
Android

Chrome & Edge

  1. 1 Open the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  2. 2 Tap Install app — or Add to Home screen if "Install app" isn't shown.
  3. 3 Confirm Install in the dialog.
Android

Firefox

  1. 1 Tap the three-dot menu next to the address bar.
  2. 2 Choose Install (or Add to Home screen on older builds).
  3. 3 Confirm to add the icon to your home screen.
Android

Samsung Internet

  1. 1 Look for the download / install icon in the bottom toolbar — it appears automatically when Samsung Internet recognizes an installable app.
  2. 2 If the icon isn't visible, open the menu (☰) and tap Add page to → Home screen.
  3. 3 Confirm to add the Zahzie icon to your home screen.
Desktop

Chrome, Edge, Brave

  1. 1 Look at the right end of the address bar for a small install icon (a monitor with a downward arrow). Click it.
  2. 2 If you don't see it, open the three-dot menu and choose Cast, save, and share → Install Zahzie… (or Apps → Install this site as an app on Edge).
  3. 3 Confirm Install.
Desktop

macOS Safari

Requires macOS Sonoma (14) or later.

  1. 1 From the Safari menu bar, choose File → Add to Dock…
  2. 2 Confirm the name "Zahzie" and click Add.
  3. 3 Zahzie launches from the Dock in its own window with no browser chrome.

Didn't see your browser? You can still use Zahzie in any modern browser — just visit zahzie and bookmark the page.
